Puppy Sales Agreement

The following agreement is between Sunny Ridge Puppies hereinafter referred to as the “Seller” {{customer_wp_user_nicename}} and hereinafter referred to as "Buyer." After the first 30 days from this date of sale, the below extended puppy health guarantee shall be in place.

In consideration of a purchase price detailed below, the Seller transfers all rights, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of the puppy described below to Purchaser as of the date full payment is received.

Terms and conditions of contract:

Buyer must have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of taking possession of puppy

either via pickup or delivery. Seller must be informed immediately of the examination’s results by email or by

telephone. The failure to comply with this term will result in the health warranty being null and void.

Buyer must provide puppy with routine preventative care such as, but not limited to: Annual veterinary examinations, appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention.
Buyer agrees that puppy will be provided with a healthy diet and fresh water

This puppy is guaranteed until 1 year of age against fatal or life altering congenital disease which adversely affects the life of the This includes kidney, heart, pancreas, spine, and liver diseases of a severe or life altering nature. If the puppy dies within this one-year time frame, Buyer will pay to have a necropsy performed to determine cause of death. If cause of death is congenital, the seller will replace puppy.
This guarantee does not cover such things as skin allergies, elongated soft palate, and stenotic
This guarantee does not cover coccidia, giardia or bordatella, as all are very contagious and easily transmitted when shipping, traveling, going to the vet, dog parks, pet stores, etc.
This guarantee does not cover hip dysplasia as environmental factors contribute as much as, or more so, than genetic factors as to whether or not a puppy develops hip dysplasia. As such, it is important that the Buyer follow the recommended protocol of no structured exercise until after the growth plates close around 18 months of age.
All items covered by this guarantee are by replacement We do not give refunds.
Seller will NOT be responsible for any medical expenses incurred. Buyer is aware that owning a puppy requires appropriate veterinary care on a regular basis and that Buyer is responsible for all
A puppy diagnosed with any serious congenital or genetic defect will be replaced as follows:
1. Puppy must be diagnosed by 1 year of age. Seller must be notified of the problem within 2 business days of the diagnosis by a licensed veterinarian’s determination. A second opinion from a second licensed veterinarian, unaffiliated with the first, will be required to confirm the Seller will then provide a replacement puppy from the next available litter.
2. The puppy with a defect must be returned to seller, humanely euthanized by a licensed veterinarian (after discussing with Seller and with proof provided to Seller)—if puppy is euthanized without consulting with Seller, there will be no replacement provided.
3. A returned puppy must be returned to the Seller in good condition, other than the specified problem, at the Buyer’s expense. Once puppy is returned OR proof of euthanasia is provided to Seller, the Buyer will be eligible for a replacement puppy.
4. Buyer is responsible for any and all transportation costs associated with the replacement
5. This guarantee applies ONLY to the original Buyer as stated in the contract, and is not transferrable to a second party.
Buyer agrees that if he/she can no longer properly keep and care for the puppy, the Seller shall have first right of refusal to reclaim the puppy at no cost to Any transportation costs would be the responsibility of the Seller and puppy is required to be returned in good health with AKC/ACA registration certificate signed over to Seller, as well as with all veterinary records and any other pertinent documentation.
1 year genetic health guarantee is only available if the puppy is fed PawTree dog food available at PawTree.com/SunnyRidge for the full duration of the year. If the dog food is stopped at any point, the 1 year genetic health guarantee is no longer in place.
